Metal alkyls are (co)catalysts in the production of plastics, like PE and PP and are also used in the pharmaceutical industry and in the production of solar cells. Metal alkyls are highly hazardous substances, which spontaneously combust when in contact with air and explosively react with water. Clearly, in such a hazardous environment, safety is at the core of our existence.
