The excitement surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) is palpable, but how can we translate this hype into tangible, measurable successes in the production environment? This presentation will delve into the leadership and shop floor processes where AI can have the most significant impact, the AI approaches and technologies with the greatest potential for scalable success, and the key performance indicators (KPIs) that can demonstrate the link between AI technologies and success in leadership and shop floor processes. We will also discuss the criteria for prioritizing AI activities in production and the organizational success factors that need to be strengthened to achieve sustainable and demonstrable effects.
With a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology and a Master in Business and Engineering, I have built a solid foundation in both technical and managerial aspects. I spent 2 years as a Security Consultant at BASF IT Services GmbH, where I honed my skills in safeguarding IT systems. Since 2005, I have held various production engineering roles at BSH in Munich, Berlin, and Spain, focusing on Production Strategy, Technology Management, Cross-factory Knowledge Management, and standardization networks. I also led the project for a new factory in India, managing project execution and driving digitalization initiatives. Currently, I serve as the Head of Digital Transformation in Global Production, where I oversee the integration of digital technologies to enhance production processes and efficiency.
