Alessandro has over 25 years of experience in the Global Chemical Market. Industrial Engineer, from Universidade de Sao Paulo, with Post graduation in Marketing, from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing and MBA from Sao Paulo Business School. He has previously worked in companies like Arkema, Rohm and Haas, and Dow, with different positions in areas like Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Strategic Planning and Management at businesses, such as Coatings, Plastics, Biocides, Oil and Gas and Acrylic Monomers.
His experience combines emerging markets and developed economies. He has started his career in Brazil, expanding to Latin America. In 2009 he moved to Switzerland where he stayed for 5 years with responsibilities initially for Europe and later globally over Acrylic Monomers. In 2014 he transitioned to Dubai where he became responsible for Coatings Business for India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey. During this time, he was also at the board of three JV´s with local partners in Germany, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. He returned back to Brazil in 2016 where he is now the General Director for Ashland for the Latin America Region.
