Niels Rasmussen is Head of Innovation | Senior Principal Engineer at Harman International. He has a background in mechanical engineering, and for more than twenty years he has developed moving lights for Martin Professional (HARMAN/Samsung) authored 16 granted patent families and today he is Head of Innovation at the HARMAN Lighting CoC. In 2017 Niels founded iNNoPINION where he lives out his passion for lecturing and entertainment on topics he has strong opinions about.

I have always had a passion for engineering, problem solving, concept development, entertainment and lecturing, and fortunately all of this is lived out in my job!
I focus on harvesting and materializing my own and my colleagues ideas, because the biggest challenge in innovation is to make it “happen” out of the laboratory or desktop! Secondly, when I do key note speaks, I am on a mission to give power back to the term “innovation”. When I see people finally getting the picture I am thrilled.
