Stephan Jorra started his career as a hard- and software developer, after studying telecommunications. He spend more than 20 years within R&D in different roles from developer over project manager to R&D director. Due to the industrial revolution 4.0 he moved over to manufacturing, since he was fascinated by that important change. He is currently heading the switchgear factory in Berlin with more than 1500 employees. Development, production and a world wide delivery of high voltage switching equipment is the key role of the plant. As general manager he drives the change for a climatic neutral switching technology for an sustainable future within the team of Siemens Energy.
What is the pop in your job?
“I am proud to be part of Siemens Energy and therefore be able to proactively make the world of Energy day by day a bit better. We have to seek for innovative solution to reduce the green house emission significantly and we will find them, I am pretty sure.”
